PRIVATE PREVIEW · UPDATED SEPTEMBER 10, 2026
Your information.
Your say.
Willstead is a personal planning and learning assistant operated by Aaron Watson. This notice covers the current private preview, including its workspace at app.willstead.app. Public subscriptions and registration are not open.
Information used by the assistant
The workspace stores information you provide, such as your goals, routines, tasks, learning progress, notes, conversation messages and chosen settings. Results you report and device signals, where available and authorized, are different kinds of evidence. Device activity does not establish attention or understanding.
Google Calendar
Connecting Google is optional and requires Google's consent screen. With your permission, Willstead reads calendars and events to identify commitments and plan available time. Its requested write scope allows changes to events on calendars you own. Within that permission, the app uses your selected calendar and delegation settings to create and maintain its scheduled blocks. It does not send email using Calendar permission.
Google data is used to provide the planning functions you request. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to build advertising profiles. Willstead's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Storage and service providers
The private service runs on DigitalOcean. Google authorization tokens are encrypted in the application database, and traffic to the workspace uses HTTPS. Domain registration and DNS are provided by Cloudflare. Operational services necessarily process connection information to deliver the service. The public information pages do not embed advertising or analytics scripts.
When AI conversation is configured and used, relevant conversation and selected planning context may be sent to OpenAI to answer your request. Live voice sends audio when you enable that feature. These integrations are not active merely because you open the website or connect Calendar. Provider processing is also subject to each provider's policies. Device notifications and other connections require their own setup and permissions.
Retention and backups
Conversation retention is configurable in the workspace; the default is 30 days. Other saved planning and learning records remain until removed. Operational records and backup copies can outlast deletion from the active workspace. Existing recovery backups do not yet have an automatic expiry policy; permanent removal from those copies requires an operator request. Do not treat deleting one visible item as erasing every recovery copy.
Control, export and deletion
You can stop calendar delegation and disconnect a connection in the workspace, or revoke Google access in your Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorized access but does not automatically erase previously stored records. Selected notes and learning records can be removed in the app. Complete export and account-data deletion are handled manually during this private preview; contact the operator using the support email displayed on the Google consent screen or your existing private support channel. Public self-service account deletion is not yet available.
Changes
This notice will be updated as features and data handling change. Review new connection permissions before enabling them. Public availability will require further account isolation, privacy and distribution work.
